The hotel is appointed with lovely gardens in a superb location. The rooms were spacious, clean, decorated, and furnished to a high standard. The service was warm and welcoming with marvelous owners and personable staff. The dining experience offered prepared-to-order meals with plenty of gluten-free options. All in all, a wonderful base to explore the local area.

Staying at the Skelwith was a delightful experience with sumptuous and spacious rooms, clean and cozy accommodations, and lovely touches like homemade cake daily. The breathtaking views made it a memorable stay, even though the bathroom was a bit cramped. A great value for such a beautiful place.

The staff at Skelwith were professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the area. They looked after us incredibly well, even accommodating my need before an ultramarathon. Their kindness shone through, like taking us into town on New Year's Eve and picking us up after midnight.
